Filmwasters Bothell Photowalk - January 1, 2016
« on: January 06, 2016, 04:09:23 AM »
Terry was nearby for the holidays so we met in my town, Bothell, Washington, for lunch and a Photowalk.  We started out at the McMenamins Anderson School brew pub for lunch then took a walk through town and along the Sammamish river.  It was great to meet another Filmwaster and spend some time chatting about cameras and film and such.  We were lucky to have a very nice sunny day after almost 12 inches of rain in December.

I brought my Mamiya C3 loaded with Ilford Delta 400.  Probably not the best lens for what I was shooting but I wanted to test out my new mamiya-Sekor f/3.5 65mm.  I developed the film in Beer with a slightly modified recipe that I will post in the Beerol thread: http://www.filmwasters.com/forum/index.php?topic=8157.msg108258#msg108258.

Those were developed in beerol? They're so good that I may have to switch over myself :) Please do post the recipe ...

Great series; looks like a lovely place.

Beerol? Sounds like you'd never go thirsty in the darkroom  :o

It was indeed a great day out.  Bryan pointed me to a very cool little antique shop and I went back later and bought a camera there.  (We met on new year's day, so all the shops were closed, but McMenamin's bar was open.)

I shot a roll of HP5 in my Exakta Varex (bought in London a few summers ago, on the occasion of another FW meetup).

I think the ducks were lining up to have their picture taken.  I like how the twisted tree turned out.
