Fuji Instax sales healthy

Yes I read digital film sites on occasion  ::)

Some interesting articles on how instax sales are one of the bright lights for fuji...

The imaging-resource article points out that the two parts of fuji that are making the cash are quite far apart -- the lowly instax and their reasonably premium high end line (The digital line I would buy into if I had the spare $$).

(For the record, I take not pleasure in any camera company going through hard times, so there is not gloating here. For full disclaimer I do have a relatively ignored but lovely OMD-M5.)

The OMD is a nice camera... especially with a c-mount adapter and a super fast and cheap cctv lens ;)

Even my local DPE lab sells the film, and its generally available at much less specialist shops than regular film in Japan... Roll on! Or Sheet on perhaps!

Very pleasant reading, hope the keep on doing the fp100c thing! Same up here in Norway with the Instax, it´s sold places that no film has ever been sold. Never seen anyone use the cameras though, except the two I have given away.

I went to Adorama to buy some FP100C, and found that they have jacked the price by $2 :( I got 10 boxes anyways, but when I told Peter, he found a supplier online who is still charging the old price. I'm sure they'll raise their prices as well soon enough...

Like the old polaroids, I guess they're mostly bought as "social cameras" and mainly used at parties...
