Good News for Kodak Film
« on: December 16, 2015, 10:22:52 PM »
Kodak's film business will return to profitability next year.  The main thing that almost killed the Kodak film business wasn't digital cameras, it was the switch to digital projection in movie theaters, that amounted to a huge amount of their film business vanishing.  We will likely never see a return to film in the theaters but the fact that big names in Hollywood like J.J. Abrams, Quentin Tarantino and Christopher Nolan insist on shooting on film is helping keep it alive.  If you want to see film projected again you may have to come over to my house and suffer through my 8mm home movies.

Thanks for posting this Bryan--it's excellent news.  And there seems to be a resurgence in still film use...
