The Old Dutch Church and Burying Ground are well-known due to their association with Washington Irving's
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow
. The church was completed in 1697, making it one of the oldest in America, and the burying ground contains many 18th Century burials, including several Revolutionary War soldiers. The adjoining Sleepy Hollow Cemetery is much larger and contains the final resting places of a host of well-known people (including Washington Irving). On a grey, overcast day earlier this month I visited with a couple of cameras, a couple of lenses, and some FP4+.
