Topic: Pinhole video

Last year, at some point, someone posted a link to a very good video as to how pinhole camera's work... it was certainly American. I remember it featuring a neat trick whereby you make a tiny hole with your forefinger and thumb to replicate a pinhole. I'd be grateful I anyone can point me in the right direction?? I have been searching and searching but to no avail!

I can't help you out but I remember that video and I remember the bit about making a tiny hole to replicate a pinhole. I use that example all the time when I am trying to explain to noobs how lenses work and the concept of aperture work.

In fact, because of that video I have one more ridiculous thing I do in public. If I have left home without my reading glasses and can't read some fine print I use that technique to let me read what would otherwise be a blur! I think it is cool, but the rest of my family think i am nuts.

I am wondering if it was on here?

Thanks for the reply Don. In actual fact I too have to give a talk to some noobs and there were some things explained on the video that would be perfect for them. Will keep looking.

You could do a Google search like "site:filmwasters.com pinhole video" which will bring up all posts that mention a pinhole video or, if you know it was on YouTube, then "site:filmwasters.com YouTube pinhole".
