I only knew his famous shot but those photos of the bridge and New York from 7 miles away with his homemade camera and lens blew me away

Agreed, where he got a 40inch lens I would have liked to know.

These programs tend to bore me halfway through, even the Andre Kertesz session (one of my favourite photographers) I tired of. But Mr Feininger kept my interest to the very end. Smart and very reflected guy.

If you want something special, there's Edmund Scientific, Anchor Optics and Surplus Shed that carry odd stuff.
