In the oil mill
« on: March 16, 2014, 02:06:01 PM »
Hi,

this week we visited a running windmill in the Netherlands. It is called "De bonte Hen" and used as an oil mill. At the time it was producing peanut oil. The peanuts were first pulverized by the running stones and then compressed by a falling stamp. The noise in the mill was unbelievable. The people working there often lost their hearing back in the days. I liked the textures of the interior. The photos are taken with a Mamiya C33 at F2.8 and 1/8 second (handheld) with Portra 160.

Thanks for looking.
