I will too, even if I don't have a packfilm-back for it (yet). This really is a project deserving of support. Some crowd funding projects are for just the one run, some float companies. Let's hope this is the latter.

$15 a sheet, it has to be said is a stumbling block, - ok I understand its a negative and an instant image, but it is a lot - though cheap compared with the remaining Type55 on ebay

Woha! Finally! They've been quiet for some time now, exiting to see some movement from those guys :)
I'll differently back it even if I currently don't have the means to use the film.

Looked at it yesterday and they were over 7K now they are over 21K that's +14K in less then 24 hours, so that gives hope... is there a holder for mamiya 645 or can you use it in a pola back for diana? Haven't tried polaroid before but hearing everyone's comments about it Maybe I should give it try....

No you won't be able to use it in a Polaroid back for the Diana or the mamiya 645 the film won't fit the holders and even if you modify them to do so you'll be wasting a lot of film :), just use the Fuji type 100 film to get a taste of the instant peel apart magic  8)

This tool is quite good at trending Kickstarters, though it does not always take into account last minute actions to save projects in danger of not meeting their goal. So far so good for the New55 project: https://www.kicktraq.com/projects/bobcrowley/new55-film/

If they pull this one off, I'll be happy to still have a working back collecting dust :)

KEH, in the US, currently has three 545 holders of different sorts, grades and prices available. I purchased mine there a while back. But this is a Kickstarter, so caveat emptor, cart before the horse, and all that.

Great project, but the prize is a bit steep for me.
It would make me hesitate and cosider if the shot is really worth the slide.

Ezzie, you don't want a packfilm back for this, you want a sheet film back (545, 545i, 545pro etc).  They're still out there!  I have all, but my favorite is the 545i  :)

I've got a camera and a few 545 backs but I'm a little hesitant because of the price.  Even after they fund it through kickstarter we are still looking at $5 to $8 per shot.  I would like to see them succeed though, so I will likely contribute and give it a try.
