Where in the world is Eye of Wally?
« on: February 07, 2013, 09:52:48 AM »
He hasn't updated his flickr in over a year, and his blog is down. Does anybody know what's happened with him? Somebody asked on a flickr group, and I figured I'd ask here because I know some of us interacted with him in the old days.

hey guys it's me, thanks for the concern, it really does mean a lot.

In late 2010 I moved back to Washington DC area due to some personal issues in my life. Life got really busy and then I had an auto accident that left me with a back and a brain injury.

As such I have not really had the time or the health to be able to do the types of photography I enjoy doing, as it is hard to slosh around in streams when a fall could mean major health issues, and living in the DC area as opposed to living in the mountains also means that I have to drive a lot further to reach those areas.

I do however appreciate the kind words and thoughts :)

Really sorry to hear that Wally. Hope things are as good as they can be, and that they remain that way. I hope you are able to still enjoy your passion for the pics in some way or another :o)

Yikes! That's really not good...

But on the other hand, you still have most of your pieces working. Hope you do get well and get a chance take pictures some more.
Maybe it's time for you to embrace the city in your images? There are no streams in the watery sense of things but plenty of fluidity related things are present.
