Playing and testing Mamiya C series TLR's, shot a quick roll in front of the house in 10 min, mostly fiddling with close up, shot at 1 feet. not used to the parallax...

Looks like I need to get another one of these cameras.

Nice shot! I love TLRs and a Mamiya CXXX is on my list, too.

tkmedia: yeah, parallax can get interesting on tlrs. specially while focusing close :) is that how close it gets? I understand the mamiya is a good tlr for close ups.

anyhow, looking forward to more shots~

I got a dirt cheap C3 / 65mm and 80mm lenses a few weeks back (I used to have a C330 years ago and forgot just how good they are).  My first attempts back at shooting it were embarrassing as I was way too close and parallax was more of an issue than I'd bargained on  :o

Stunning kit for close ups as the camera front is on a sort of mechanical bellows effort that gets you in pretty close. As TKMedia's shot shows, the lenses are also extraordinarily sharp.

That neg is not cropped, standing about a foot away, but the front of the lens about 9 in from subject. Could have shot even closer, but there was a bit of wind and the flower was moving, making focus and parallax even more difficult.

No more from this camera atm, I no longer have it to use. that's why I shot it so quick.
