I thought I'd share a recent experience with picking up some film fairly cheaply. I stopped at a Sainsbury's (in Ponteland, Northumberland, UK) to get some headache tablets and was pleasantly surprised to find a clearance offer on some just-expired Kodak Gold 200 - packs of 3 rolls of 24 exposures for 49p a pack ... 13.3p per roll or 0.68p per frame
. I bought 12 rolls.
The film expiry date is Sept 2012 and I made the purchase on 6th October, so either a week or a month out of date depending on your method of calculation.
I don't suppose this is a general offer in Sainsbury's, more likely a local clearance - but I thought it might be useful to have a place here to post such news, and sorry if such a thread already exists.
I'm more of a Portra user but willing to trade down at this price - I haven't used this film before but I expect it to be a step up from the Kodacolor 200 recently featured in Poundland.
