What makes me laugh is the tone in his voice when he gives the final verdict!
He sounds so disappointed that the low end Rollei performed better!

But the lens used has a major effect on the results. If he used a zoom, then fuzz is to be expected. But for a prime lens, results would be better.

As for the diff between the Rollei and a top Canon... I suspect results would be pretty darn close.

That's the problem with digital imagery; always something complex going on when you'd expect lack of focus to just cause plain old "blur".
