I Love Chalky....
« on: July 24, 2012, 11:47:11 PM »
...seriously. He's awesome. Well, he might not be, but I'm willing to believe he is because he sold me the Pola back for my Bronny S2A which I've been using with a home made lens and expired Polacolor 125i. As much as I love shooting with a Land Camera, it's great to be able to try something different and yet still have the convenience of instant film. Some of the 125i is seriously expired and I have to use P'Shop to increase contrast, but the final result is so messed up that I haven't yet felt the need to dip the prints in coffee as I usually do.

Have been admiring these on your flickr stream Ed and can honestly say they're all stunning! I don't know if it's just me but they do remind me of Polaroid transfers. Look forward to seeing more!

Damion: I thought we'd agreed it was just that one night and that we'd never mention it again!!? I feel betrayed.

Everyone Else: Thanks for the feedback. They're just family snaps (as always), but it is a great feeling to be finally taking the type of pictures I always wanted to (and not having to wait 18 months for my standard dev/scan/post-process/print workflow to complete). The only real issue now is that I may start going through my stash of 100 series film even faster than before.

well I have to say I like the topic of this thread!  :D

Ed I am very glad that you are getting so much pleasure from the back and producing some great photos at the same time.

The thing with a polaroid stash is I always want to keep it so I have some left, but the older it gets the more chance of it not working, so I guess you have to just shoot it!

does this mean auctions for type 100 film are going to get even more competitive?!  Maybe there is room for some kind of UK filmwasters bulk 3000b purchase perhaps.

I still dream of stories like this happening to me: http://www.flickr.com/photos/archetypo/4536322215/# !

Ed enjoy cornwall if you are not here already?
