This caught my eye, in a stroll around the internet. Might be a nice idea to post up 'pictures on the edge'? Off to plunder my neg files.

interesting idea. I don't think the half frames were strong enough to really engage me in wondering what else would have been there ... as I suspect the artist was trying get me to do. With some strong pics, I think it would be much more effective, but I suppose it would take away from the randomness then.

I think I enjoyed hearing the static crackle and pops on the sound more than looking at the pictures.

Yes, I loved the static crackle and pops which underlined nicely the analogue nature and origins of the affect. 'Vorspiel' from Das Rheingold, means prologue or 'leads to another'. Hopefully the 'half' seen images lead on to better ones.

I was kind of curious about how some of the pictures might have been...

It also reminded me of this book by Daido Moriyama.
I heard he made exclusively with acidental pictures, taken just to pass the first frames of the film.

i still scan my double zero pics just to see what they look like.
