Some very peculiar comments on that article about "professional" photographers always asking permission first.

A very cool thing happened to me this weekend about asking permission.
I was downtown Albuquerque and was admiring and lusting for a red 57 Chevy convertible that was parked at the plaza.
I asked the owner if he would mind getting in his car so I could take a photo of him and the car.
He said, " I'll do you one better, how about YOU get in the car and I'll take your photo?"    :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

Without even thinking about it, I handed him my Holga, showed him the shutter button, got in the car and he clicked my photo!
If it turns out, I'll post it in the meet the Filmwasters section.

Funny, I was at a car show too!
It was steaming hot. I was sweating so much I think I lost a few pounds right there.
I met a nice gentleman (Roger) who had a Fuji 690 :)
Now I want one :)

This sort of thing tends to happen to us females, I think. Happened on my honeymoon when photoing a nice Lotus which was parked on the street. The owner came up and told me to hop in and get a picture :D

Was it the Esprit Turbo from James Bond hall of fame?
