Oh, I'd never thought of doing that. But it does look interesting. Has anyone here had a go?

Strangely, I would have been tempted to jury rig some type of film advance system...
Drills, knobs, nuts, washers and screwdrivers=more fun ;)

I've searched in past for a Pathfinder Land camera in order to do some sort of convertion (either 4x5 or 120)  but the prices were sky high. The fact that it's quite difficult ot get one of those in Uk makes even more expensive because of the postage all the way from the US...

Never thought about the 80 series though...  :)

Sapata....they are sweet cameras..but not the lightest in the world..I have easily used sheet film in this camera and now 120 works also..If you would like one just say the word..I have two and they are both very nice and clean..I don't need two..

There are so many generous people on this forum, it is so nice to see  :)

I have a 110b on the way from Canada to UK (cost me $60 US) to convert to packfilm, but it is taking 6-8 weeks to arrive. But we're about 6 weeks in so should be here soon I hope.

Just today my friend offered me her fathers Polaroid Land 80. Am I getting in over my head with a conversion?  I was thinking of converting to 4x5 plate because of the light issues with using 120. Any advice?

actually there is sheet film that is 3 1/4 x 2 1/4 ( I could be a bit off in those sizes, but close)that will fit in here nicely..I just kept one of the frame things from fuji instant film and made a "holder" for the film..works great for me..

Ooooh, now that's an idea!  Diane, do you have pictures of the holder you made?

Funnily enough I was just thinking of that film size last week because I found a camera which I haven't used for years in one of my cupboards. It's a Graflex RB mini SLR (it has an official model name, but I can't remember it). I think it takes that size sheet film or - as in my case - there's a 6x9 rollfilm back which works rather nicely.

I have two Graflexes which take that size film. The other is a mini Graphic of some sort. I actually have another Graflex camera too now that I think about it; a full size RB. As I type this I sit here wondering the following:

  • How did I end up with Graflex cameras?
  • How come I never use any of them?
  • Given the above, why have I not put at least two of them up for sale on evilBay?

Hmmm, might be time to put them up for trade or something here. Maybe take advantage of Leon's love shack thread.

Anway; random musings over. As you were.

Christine, I will send you an email with some pictures..as it turned out for this camera I needed nothing but some black matt board and Gorilla tape..couldn't have been easier..though of course its one shot at a time and either a changing bag or darkroom for exchanging the film.. but it was worth it too me to get to use this terrific old camera..trying to find some examples of images but lost in the mayhem right now :)

Ed. let me know if you are going to do something with those cameras...I wanted to find another way to use that film but never did!!
