scan negs or prints for online gallery/blog?
« on: March 09, 2006, 09:45:14 AM »
Do you scan your negatives or prints for online galleries/blogs? I've generally found neg scans to be clearer (however they need 'tweaking') but I'm curious to hear how others here do it.  ???

A bit of both, and sometimes, with a BIG print, I take a digisnap of it the "correct" it in p'shop to look as close as the original as I can.

I scan negs but only because I don't have time to print everything in the darkroom. I guess if you're doing extensive darkroom work on a print you may as well scan that print than scan the neg and do the work all over again in Photoshop.

negs.
But in the case that the print has something unique to the neg, such as alternative process, I'd scan the print.
