Background: I am sure I'm not alone when I say that my day job has no relation to photography. But sometimes at the end of the week, I find it difficult to motivate myself to pick up the camera and take photographs.
So as a way to inspire myself, I decided to document something that was right at hand and easily accessible.
My dog :-)
Now, the subject is quite trivial but the exercise was more to go through the motion of documenting something.
I shot 3 rolls of film all with a single camera and a single lens and wanted to do it like a gritty B&W style documentary. In the end I chose twelve shots for the essay.
Has anyone else embarked on such a project just to get the creative juices flowing again?

A Dogs LifeThree years ago, we adopted a 6 year chocolate labrador retriever. In September of 2011, I embarked on a project to document her routine during the day.
Waiting at a traffic signal while on her nightly walk
Sassy goes for a walk twice a day.
Dogs love riding in the car.
Enjoying the great outdoors.
A "Kong" full of treats keeps her busy during the day.
Sometimes toys need to be played with outside.
A playful bark signals that it's time to wrestle.
Sassy comes and goes as she pleases
Sassy indicates that it is time to eat by sitting by her bowl.
Patiently waiting to be fed.
A night time ritual, she leans her head against the bed.
Settling in for the night.
