Just heard that Gene has passed away - very sad.  He certainly has left a legacy!

I remember reading about f-stop printing in photo techniques magazine and wanting to try it out.
Couldn't afford the timer and couldn't quite work out the maths.

Wow... that's a big part of traditional photo that's gone...

As for using his f/stop printing method... lets just say he made it complicated for nothing. If you can multiply and divide by 2, it's not much more complex than that.

I remember trying a bit a printing a long time ago and it was using one of his books - he made it seem pretty simple. I still have the book and all the equipment - MMMMmmmmm.

Phil, with the book and the equipment to hand you should think about setting up your own home darkroom. I'm thinking, oh I don't know....a nice little setup in the loft perhaps?
