sorry Nigel - I edited the post so the whole move player shows.  To do this, you just copy and paste the url without tags and the forum software does the rest.

very good. I've just taken advantage of the nice weather and taken my Holga on its first walkies in a long time.

Cool!
That's a neat commercial, but no one on the street has ever reacted in this way when I aim my Holga at them.

They mostly wrinkly their faces and say, "is that a real camera?"

This never happened to me either... and I don't think that even dressing up as a clown would take that frown of the people's face...

That's quite a sweet little ad, though nothing like my experiences of shooting a Holga. My new 120GFN has just arrived this week so I plan to do some flash shooting, holga-styleee, for the first time.

who cares if it's not realistic or particularly impressive? It's a nice film that someone took some time to put together and it includes holgas.  It made me a little bit happier this morning - and that's never a bad thing.

It is a happy little commercial and hurrah! for a film camera commercial!

And like others, I have never experienced reactions like the ones in the ad. Pity that. I've actually been chased away from shooting with my Holga in a public place, though I didnt realize it at the time. I was already walking away when a clerk in a store near where I was shooting came running out to hassle me so I never saw her. My son told me about it as we walked away. I sure hope she heard me laughing at her.

I got yelled at last weekend while shooting around an old falling down church.
Surprised the devil out of me ;D

At any rate it made me happy that someone was actually looking after the place.
I guess they thought i was there to put some graffiti on it, since a Holga doesn't appear to be a "real" camera.

thats pretty sweet :-)

I havent shot my holga (or anthing for that matter) in a while. I bust my holga lens at the FPP meet up in london earlier this year, opened the lid of my camera bag to get my mamiya our and my holga was in the lid and came crashing onto the concrete lens first... so now its stuck on portrait mode. Im guna get a 120GN at some point I think as I like the hint of central sharpness fading to blur and vignette. not so much a fan of the pure fuzz :-0

I have some really nice painted Holgas, and I think it is the colour than brings out the smile in people. I have seen people smile at my Holg.... wait... perhaps it is just me looking silly?

Well, I guess no one actually think it is a real camera when it is bright red plastic, so they just smile at the mad lady with the toy camera.
