Dogs (and cats or whatnot)...
« on: June 06, 2011, 10:01:03 PM »
Seems like we had a thread like this some time ago, but I couldn't find it. But Leon's little vid inspired me to start another, as my greyhound Kino goes with me everywhere and patiently poses for me with a bored look on her face! Anyone else have a pet muse?

Sean, I wish that I did. These photos of Kino are beautiful. You seem to have set Jan off!

That's Bandit, my wife's pug.

And Zuzu. She's the boss. I have no photos of Zu at eye-level. If I crouch to take her photo, she runs over to have her ears scratched.

Excellent thread... I really like the pictures!

I really miss having a dog... shame I can't have one right now :(... can I post pictures of other people's dog?

This is the cocker I used to have back home in the early 90's...

All the best photographers are owned by greyhounds (or pointy-nosed canines that are derivatives thereof).

This thread has made me realise I have hardly any film photographs of Archie - the 2000-odd digital ones don't count. So these are a couple of years old, but they still represent the fact that he is the most stunning four-legged creature ever to have graced this planet of ours.

I am envious of all who have furry family members!  These are all such beautiful photos!  Ailsa, your last one with Mr. Yawnie face is too adorable!

Wonderful thread!! Love all the shots. Seans pooch is always been a favorite of mine. I look forward to seeing pix of her.  :D

My pix are of Spencer the oddly shaped pound puppy.
Biggy the herpes kitty when he was just a kitten and had herpes real bad.
And lastly, Fishy, the vampire fish that got frozen and fried from failed tank heaters more times than I can count but never died from it. Sadly, Fishy got caught in the sun, a bad thing for vampires as you know, and passed some time last year. Im glad I got these pics of him.  :'(

good thread! it feels like I get to know you guys more and more ;D
me, I've had a few. but surprisingly I've mostly shot digital shots ( ::) )and polaroids of them.

here's a favorite on fade to black polaroid film...

mojave: those close ups are ace! I think you captured your vampire fish real well there ;)
ailsa: second one totally for that yawn shot! haha
sean: really enjoying your shots of kino. she seems to have a build that translates well on film, and I like the play with shadows~

I've got a load of digisnaps of our various cats (Lara had 6 when we first got together but that number has dwindled to three over the years). However, I've found one of Sapphire. She's a British Short-hair "Colour Point". A bit like a Siamese but with a "teddy bear" face. She's also a right little madam and gets her own way all the time......

Love all those pets. Personally I'm a dog fan, and there are some beautiful ones here!

Stella is always with us when we go anywhere, and generally tends to be the test pilot for new cameras and film.

Below are the polaroid 195 and some well expired 679, a very old brownie that used to be my grandads and some 127 film, and some new px680ff in an sx70.

great thread  :D

chris_n:  that is a very brave dog.

These pictures and stories are tugging on my heart strings!

That cloudy collie shot reminds me of the Ghost and Mrs. Muir for some reason. Excellent shot. And Damion, love that shadow shot. Its really wonderful.

Jojonas, love that fade to black shot. Im sorry I missed out on that stuff.

I did have a pet horned lizard a few years back though.

woo some awesome shots here

here are some I took yesterday of the black lab who lives at the farm where my workshop is. her name is rosie and she is LOVELY and i want to take her home with me. but she might be having puppies next year....... hmm a plot is formulating in my head

anyway these have been badly shielded with an impossible project bumber sticker (don't tell ed. was thinking I may send him one in the post)

one of them you can actually see the lettering

Here is my new rescue Jake!  This was taken the day he came home from his heartworm injections so he was feeling pretty terrible.  He is now as happy and healthy as can be, he's put on a ton of weight and has dedicated his life to ensuring my couch does not move :)

Taken on Impossible's PX600 film.

I went through some really old photos and found one of the rare photos of our dove on which she didn't give me the dirty eyeball :)
She was not camera shy... she was more of a superstar that had the reputation of attacking paparazzi  ;D

Archie is magnificent..but I love all dogs and cats..Dogs especially love me..I think I was of canine decent in my last life..I will find a very old picture of my beautiful red chow to post..he was stunning..and then there is my cat "Baby Floyd"..never thought I would be a cat person but he is the best!!
