I know everytime a news like that comes along, it's a bit disconcerting...
But somehow, I feel we should try and look on the bright side... or at the very least be zen about it.
Fuji discontinues some instant film... but on the bright side they didn't discontinue all instant film.
I think patience is in order these days. The photographic world has been rocked quite heavily by the storms of both the digital and financial worlds. I think it is to be expected that things will keep on changing. But on the other hand, we have to give time to those still wanting to produce new products aimed at old technologies. Whether we like it or not, Impossible is doing something quite interesting. Yes, the Lomo guy is behind it, yes, it's expensive like hell. But on the other hand, they're working at bringing back Ultra Large Format film to the market. It's just a matter of time before companies settle back down and start producing again... and then there's the New Type 55 project...
