Back from holiday...
« on: May 19, 2008, 03:21:35 PM »
Back from 9 days in Cornwall. Had a great time, but encountered the usual frustrations re trying to compose photos with 2 small children in tow. Managed to get in two photo-oriented excursions however (an abandoned tin mine and a very foggy Bedruthan Steps). I shot a lot of film on those two occasions, so that part felt especially good.

The 35mm colour has been shipped off to Truprint already, but I have a few rolls of 120 to get to the lab at some point this week.

Post-processing should keep me busy for the rest of the year!
;)

"a few rolls...."!

That made me laugh - there appears to be more film than food in the fridge. Great work.

Is the garlic there to prevent the evil eye from peeking at the undeveloped rolls  ;D
Francois

Film is the vinyl record of photography.

Great work.

Well, it was certainly great fun. I tend to leave the great work up to others on the forum.

Francois: yep that's garlic in there; an old trick that Leon passed onto me recently after some correspondence with a photographer in Transylvania.
 ;D  ;)

Just carry some Cherrios with you & when you're ready make pictures, just toss some on the ground and let them graze while you compose & shoot ::)

Wow, I thought my roll of RSXII sitting around exposed was "a lot" of 120 waiting to be developed. I don't think I shoot enough....

Now this looks like my fridge in the garage! Always stacked with film and booze!

I would love to see the Bedruthan Steps pics - I was there for a few days last month.  You can see a pic I took on Polanoid (type "cliffs" (without the quotes) in the tags window and it is the shot by sulfiteman), shot during a walk along the top starting from the NT cafe.
