What Film?
« on: April 21, 2011, 01:31:45 PM »
This has been sitting in a drawer (at work) for some years unused - having a tidy out and it was destined for a skip so I rescued it.

I know there are different types of film for polaroid, what type should I be looking for?

Hi Windy, I'm pretty sure this camera takes 600 series film, which these days means Impossible Project. Take a look at the most recent Filmwasters video podcast where Erin describes the cameras and film she uses and also some useful tips and tricks.

Also, as with any question about Polaroid cameras and film, check The Land List website (http://www.rwhirled.com/landlist/landhome.htm) to confirm what I said above about 600 series films. I'm not particularly knowledgeable about integral film other than the 500 series stuff for the Joycam. A lot of others here are though. You're in safe hands.

Not 600- You will need Spectra (700) integral print film.

Quote
Spectra Films (3 5/8" x 2 7/8")

Unless otherwise noted, all Spectra Films have the following characteristics in common:

Color
Film speed: ASA 600
Self-developing
Packaged 10 prints to a pack
Has self-contained battery to power camera.
Actual image area: 3 5/8" x 2 7/8" (9.2 x 7.3 cm)

Pretty sure it's image type film like spectra.

Isn't it usually written inside the loading flap ?

Yep, the land list says the Image Elite Pro is the same as the Spectra Pro. Yours isnt a Pro model, but I can tell just by looking at it that its a Spectra. It looks just like mine. And yeah, it should say on the inside what kind of film to use.

Thanks all for advice. It does indeed say 'Spectra Image' inside the loading flap (doh).
