Looking to sell a 35mm film scanner, a couple of cameras and some books to fund for a repair - so I was wondering if anyone knows other fourms where I can post for free and where I don't have to worry about paying for membership fees to post.

You could always put them up on Kijiji.com
It's an ebay affiliate that does classifieds for free.

Depending where you are... I've sold a few things on Craig's List. But you have to be SPECIFIC that the sale has to be cash only & the transaction must be made in person (so you don't get scammers).

I've also sold a few things by putting up a flyer in a local lab.
