First World War teenage photography

Hello!

i recently bought a 'Butcher's Panel Carbine' camera in a local charity shop for £10, i think its circa 1910 but information is hazy...
it has a Beck Symmetrical Lens and Lukos II shutter.
ive taken a first lot of pictures and it works (apart from obvious light leaks :P)

i was wondering if anyone could help me find out more about it... looked on camerapedia but don't really know where else to look :P i'd appreciate any comments :)

Not much information on Butcher cameras... I looked on Collection Appareils and they have only two models described: the Dandycam and Maxim No.1. All I can say is they are Made in UK...

I did a bit more digging and apparently they were a british company who imported german cameras, when tensions began to arise in 1910, they began manufacturing their cameras in Britain (when mine was made) and then joined up with Houghton and in 1930 Houghton-Butcher became ensign!

now if only i could find someone who knew what model i've got! :P
but hey...it takes pictures! what could be better!
