Looking at the iner sleeves of the 1997 "Earthling" Bowie's album I came across with a strange type of photograph called "Kirlian Photography", but I've never thought that an Instant version could exist!  :o

Great found Ed but still a bit expensive... ;)

What I like is that it's been "modified with special electronics and fiber optics to produce colorful aura photographs"...
Just looking at it makes it feel so hokus-pokus.

Hey! I have an idea!

I have an instax camera, if anyone wants me to make them a special aura camera, I can coat the lens with some nail polish and make you a special price of 3000$ for it  :P

Is this a spoof or is it actually a scam waiting for some poor schmuck to happen along?

I've got some mining company shares from a company that went under... maybe he'll trade them to me for the camera. One bad investment for another  ;D

It's a schmuck thing. Was v. popular in the 70s and 80s. It's really just a fancy lightleaking in multicolours machine usually, though. Not even as complex as kirlian photography (which I had such an interest in that I made one using a peizo gas hob lighter, a piece of brass sheeting and some wires. It was slightly insane... only tried it with B&W litho film. and I think I was doing something wrong with my fingertip pictures because it did hurt due to being zapped!)

The whole setup was pretty flimsy and just sort of taped together so it's fallen apart since we moved. I could figure out how to do it again maybe... just wire to metal plate then use the other wire to poke object requiring contact. Place film inbetween.

It's kind of cool to do in very dark conditions because you can see it light up a bit.

I actually know someone who claims to have bought an aura camera and does believe in it but I think it's a case of a fool and their money is soon parted judging by other purchases :/

I wonder does Impossible Project film enhance the effect.

I took a picture of my dog and this is what came out.

She's all aura.

blurdotblog: Steady. If you post any more results like this those irrepressible TIP people will get right on the Aura marketing train & then you won't be able to live with yourself.   :)

Sean: You win again (and I'm not just talking the country song!). Hilarious. Do you have a photo for every occasion? Seems like it. Hmmm, I may have to test you.

I like Seans photo, it has that special 'glow' possibly the Aura camera uses Zeiss lenses-I hear they give a 'glow'  :)
There's more to this photography thing than meets the eye.
