Everything about 127 film
« on: September 03, 2010, 12:51:39 PM »
I guess I've caught the 127 film. I have a Primo-Jr TLR and a Coronet 4-4 Mark II. Until now I've only used the Rollei Retro 80S black and white film, but it seems to be not very forgiving. El 100 seems to be the absolute maximum for this film. Also it's black and white which I don't like for toy cameras. So I'd like to hear of your experiences with the other 127 films out there. The Efke R100, Maco UCN 200, Rollei Crossbird, Rollei Nightbird, and the other ones I've forgotten or don't know about.

I like the Efke/Adox 100 and I've used a fair bit in 120 and 35mm and apart from it being curly compared to Kodak/Fuji I have had no problems.

There's more to this photography thing than meets the eye.

So how forgiving is it to exposure mistakes? The Rollei Retro 80S is a great film but you have to be fairly precise and that doesn't work so well when you don't use a light meter ;) Also, can you push it?
