« on: June 06, 2010, 07:27:45 PM »

Help Please,

Somewhere I can get 127  in the UK - Bought a Yashica 44

Somewhere that processes colour transparency film (120) - Ran one through my Ful-Vue

Many Thanks,

Not sure where you can get 127, but to the best of my knowledge efke is the only manufacturer still producing it.

As far as processing is concerned, any place that does 120 should be able to process it. Worse case scenario is get a 127 spindle and give it to your favorite lab.

Brilliant, thanks.

Silver Print is a 20 min walk from my office.

Cheers all.

Just did a tad of research since the yashica 44 has been on my list for awhile. Looks like Rollei also makes 127 including an infrared.

Miles, if you're buying 127 film then might I suggest you look out for one of the cutest cameras ever made, the Coronet 4-4 Mark II
(very tongue in cheek review here http://licm.org.uk/livingImage/Coronet4x4-II.html - although I never had the smell problem with any of mine).

An absolutely gorgeous, Birmingham-made, 127 format cam which was clearly marketed at 'the ladies'. It's small and it feels exactly right when you use it. These days it would be called a toycamera for the sake of convenience and because it has a plastic lens and components made from low-end materials. Fly the flag. Buy British!!

It also has that British 60's coolness associated to it, something that's irreplaceable!
Like they say, cool design never gets old :)

Very nice Squire, mesh back gloves with leather palms it is then.

My local lab said they didn'y process 127 today so that will spur me on to do my own.  I've been snooping for Coronets on evilbay for a while too.  And though I hate to cross post, but ... I got the first roll back from the Trip with missing light seals, looks like it doesn't need them  :)
