It's old news, but I just discovered an article in a 2007 issue of The New Yorker magazine: Candid Camera, the cult of Leica by Anthony Lane. Many Filmwasters will enjoy Lane's observations about film vs digital and his history of Leica described in the work of it's most famous users (Aleksandr Rodchenko, Andre Kertesz, Walker Evans, Henri Cartier-Bresson, Robert Capa, Robert Frank, William Klein, Garry Winogrand, Lee Friedlander, Sebastiao Salgado, etc)--an entertaining read.
