I have been posting up quite abit on toycamera.com but thought i'd check things out on this board. i shoot with mainly old dianas and flipped lens brownie hawkeyes but do break out the old 2.8 planar rollei from time to time. my work can be seen at www.saltstainedphotography.blogspot.com or daily web blog www.saltstainedeyes.blogspot.com

I look forward to reading more here- j

yes indeed - loving your surf pics.  the colours really remind me of sunset/rises on the quieter surf beaches in Cornwall.

great to have you here.  looking forward to seeing lots more :)

Yo, Glider/Jack. Wilkommen!

I'm a sucker for toycam surfer shots. I started doing a few years ago after a trip to Hawaii in 2003 and after reading "Surfing San Onofre to Point Dume: Photographs by Don James", but didn't get very far despite a few promising openers. A case of bad timing. My surfing 'career' started 2 years before our first child arrived and I've not really picked up my longboard in the 5 years since then - a major regret, but I'll get back to it one day.

In the meantime I now have your work to look at and I have to say it's wonderful. So glad you dropped in here after starting at toycamera.com. Hope you find it worth your while hanging around for a while.

  :)

Welcome gilder.

You've got some excellent stuff on your website. I especially like Fish Dream, the reflections of the clouds in the water are great. Very atmospheric.

Cheers

Bonjour!

I too am landlocked... the only surfing going on near my place is on a stationary wave in the Saint-Lawrence river (read dry-suit mandatory to avoid just touching the water... it's so polluted that we often joke about having fingers grow out of your forehead if you just touch the stuff! )
