film wasting with a filmwaster
« on: May 01, 2010, 05:24:51 PM »
when i was back in seattle i had the chance to meet up with fellow filmwaster gregor. we did an impromtu collaboration. gregor loaded my holga with some bw film and we passed the camera back and forth each taking a shot(on bulb) until the film was used up.  the whole set can be seen here http://www.flickr.com/photos/formica/sets/72157623916299190/. first two shots we took below.

it was definately a fun evening. the meetup resulted in me buying gregor's fujipet too - a  camera i've been wanting for years. so a successful meetup in more ways than one! :)

smashing!  and nice to meet your happy faces!   :)

I love things like this and have only met and been out shooting with a couple of fellow filmwasters in person.

Really love the idea of you both swapping shots too.   :)

Great pair of shots. I have been thinking about a similar pair of frames myself!  8)

thanks everyone! becky, this was the first time i was able to meet a filmwaster in person(not counting keith(aka eat beef, *tick) who doesn't really post much any more and probably doesn't count since i knew him before filmwasters existed).  i think the closest(geographically) is skorj and that's not all that close.

Leon:  mine are 5 years old and on arm is held on with superglue and a round of gaffer's tape.  Not trying to be a photo nerd - my other pair have a scratch on the right lens - dead center  ;)

Here's one from a non-shared roll of william and his half-frame.....

Very much agree!  Love seeing faces that go with names..I did get in a trip to Portland in January and was able to stop in the photo shop where Jim works....so I have met one!..Was hoping for a trip to Great Britain earlier this year til my kidney had other ideas..had to spend the money for repairs..just not fair! It wasn't even a fun visit!
Love the posted images!
