anyone know this Hong Kong camera co. logo?
« on: March 12, 2010, 10:39:22 PM »
From the 50-60's. Found it on a Traveller Reflex camera. All plastic made, clone of the Binaflex and Bioflex plastic models. Just trying to figure out what company made these. I have the instructions, but no info other than the logo and made in Hong Kong.

I've never seen it before, but it's wonderful !
The "Y" and "W" could be the conpany's initials...

That's a really nice logo. I was doing some googling and apparently it was made by the Great Wall Plastic Co. in Hong Kong in the '60s, which is the same company that produced all those Diana clones.

Here is a wee link to a page of some of the cameras they made - http://www.toycamera.com/diana/the_fam.html - the Traveller is down at the bottom. Also here's the Camerpedia page - http://www.camerapedia.org/wiki/Traveller

I'm assuming the logo belongs to them, but I can't find any info on it at all. Hope this helps!
