Well, I am back from Mozambique, One month and a half, I did some shooting but I went there for the elections. This time I brought with me the Canon A1, black and white shots were Ok,color I am not satisfied with, very high contrast, I do not know why..

Cool haircut vicky : )

I've been working on personal series not intended for exhibit - double exposures - of portraits w/my kids, friends, etc.  It's called "When I'm Dead and Gone."  Either at 50 or 100 shots I'll stop and make the photos into a hand-bound,  edition of one, book for them all to remember me by.  I just have to figure out how to put it in my will ! (No, I'm not terminally ill, however I'm afraid the films and format may be !)

Today's shot: I was able to get my son to sit still long enough before he ran off with his friends......

I've been trying out a Bencicni Koroll 24S.
It takes 24 pics @ 30x45 on 120 roll film. The camera looks and handles great though the lens quality is not so good.

Don't worry about lens quality Pixtu... it's often so overrated anyways  :)

A quick snap on the 8x10 of a neighbour and her 13 week old son. A son who slept till I moved the darkcloth away from the front of the lens [no shutter you see] and wriggled till I let the cloth over the lens again. Twice!

went up to lugang this last weekend for a flickr meetup. lugang is known for having a lot of traditional buildings/culture. while we were up there we ran into some temple activities(they were going all day and into the evening). so these two shots are a before and after. first shot they are placing a pile of firecrackers below a man. they didn't put enough at first so he asked for more. then he stood over them as they were lit. we were close enough that bits of firecrackers landed on us.

Wow! Wow! Wow! What a great set from last weekend. Lots of standout photos from everyone...and a very nice international flava (ahem!) too if I may say  ;D Adding to the exotic, the remote, the mysterious I was in Norfolk this weekend visiting my grandfather & managed to get an hour almost on my own with the Tachihara & some old Polocolor 125i. I had grand plans, but they wuz thwarted and so I fell back on taking a portrait of my 4 year old daughter...yeah, the one who can't keep still for 2 seconds. Anyway, it's nice to be able to join in on the weekend thread for once.
