110 film and processing
« on: November 10, 2009, 08:52:25 PM »
Any advice on where to buy 110 film, other than the Bay, and either where to get it processed or where I can get a dev tank for it?

I know Patterson made some reels for 110. Seen a reel once and left it at the camera show not knowing what to do with it... I was in the "I've got enough useless stuff" mode.

Not sure if they're still selling it but I bought mine from 7dayshop.com ages ago... it was very cheap !

I got it processed from Jessops but I really do not recomend that place...

I've been looking on eBabe for reels or tanks but, so far, haven't found any. Does anyone know if 110 is the same as 16mm because I've seen some reference to 16mm reels though I haven't actually seen one yet?

I had a look at 7dayshop as I saw someone else recommend them but I couldn't find any 110 film on their site anywhere.

A 110 size tank reel is indeed the same as 16mm.  I have a Jobo DuoSet 1502 110/16mm reel which I have not used for about 20 years, and I am happy to give it to you for the price of the postage (from Australia  :-\ ).  It fits inside any Jobo 1500 Series tank which are readily available and probably still made.  I have a Jobo 1520 tank which also takes 35mm and 120, but there is a smaller 1510 also.

Thanks for the offer. I'll think on it as I don't have a Jobo tank so depends on cost of that and how badly I want to process my own 110, which in turn depends on whether I can find anyone else to do for a reasonable price.

So far I've found Process c-22 but they want 20 pounds just to process each film and 35 to print it as well. I don't need this that much.

I bought some from film from my local snappy snaps 2 months ago since they said they could develop and print it ,but I havent put any in yet. They havent gotten any new stock in since Ibought mine though.I was in the lomography shop off carnaby street last week and they had lots of film at the counter.Somebody was enquiring about development (of 35mm film),so they possibly have a 110 service as well.I tried to order some from 7dayshop earlier this year but they couldnt supply any.Mr Cad is a possible option as well

I looked up Snappy Snaps but I don't have one locally. There's one in Newbury which I go to sometimes so I'll call in next time I'm there. Thanks.
