Lith Printing
« on: April 28, 2009, 05:58:28 PM »
I just tried it first time last night.  Great fun but it took aaaaaaaaages to develop.  Cold night and I didn't warm up the developer.  Anyhow I noticed a few folks on here have done lith and thought I'd start a new thread for tips and advice.  I'm using the Fotospeed lith starter kit with LD20 developer and lith paper.  I've also got some Kentmere Kentona Glossy paper to try out.  If anyone has any thoughts on the following please chip in.

How warm can you have your developer and how much does it speed up the process ?  I'm going to try it around 25 degrees C next time I think.

The Fotospeed instructions say that 15ml solution A plus 15ml solution B plus 470ml water is enough to do 3 8x10 sheets - is this tue or can you do more ?  From experience lots of development life estimates are very underestimated.

I'm really excited by the first result and can't wait to do more.  It looks much better in real life

Lith session number 2.  Warmer developer this time.  Different paper, Kentmere Kentona Glossy, and a different look.  Don't think the warm colours come across so well in digital form though.

Looks like you're getting on well with it. Keep them coming. Have you seen Tim Rudman's site?

Thanks Leon.  Yes I had seen that site but pointing it out has reminded me I really ought to buy that book, though I do like to just experiment and not follow too many guides usually.
