Help me select entry
« on: April 09, 2009, 07:52:42 PM »
Hi all,
I've been selected to participate in a small local show at a country club in Albuquerque.  I have some old Route 66 truck shots that people always like but need your help in picking out a couple  (it's  a cliche' around here to shoot old trucks, but it's what sells, so I'm a pimp and make some extra cash this way)
Sorry if that makes me cheap, but it pays for my film habit and I'll do almost anything to support film.   ;)

Let me know which of the three to select. And many thanks for the help.

My  other shots for the show are digital so can't share those here.
BTW- These were done with my Rover, (a Diana clone) and Ilford HP5

I like the 2nd one - the softness. But that dent in the fender on the 1st one keeps drawing me back to that one. it's the 1st thing that catches my eye. in #2 it's the license plate.  less of an interesting story than the dented fender.

#2.  Love the looming shape, right foreground.  And, of course, the blur.

Another one for #2 it seems to be "weighted" more correctly for me if that makes any sense :-)

Thanks all for the kind input.

It looks like I'll be printing the second one and  hope to have some pix of it in the show to share here  later on.

Thanks again, you guys rock!

 :) :) :)

I am a #2 chooser also. I find the distorted framing much more interesting than the 'straight" shot.

Good luck.
