Documentary on Nathalie Daoust
« on: November 17, 2008, 03:25:23 PM »
Last night I watched a documentary on nomadic artists where they interviewed local photographer Nathalie Daoust.
A Montreal girl, she travels the planet for her projects. She first spent 2 years at New York's Carlton Arms Hotel taking pictures of the residents. After that, she moved to Japan, Bresil, Switzerland...

Many of her pictures are taken with a good old Nikon and a ring flash. She then works with the negatives, cuts them, tapes them back together, double prints to create strange and beautiful pictures.
