Another weekend, another what did you shoot?
« on: November 03, 2008, 06:55:42 PM »
I didn't do much, just drove around a bit with the 195 on sunday morning when traffic was light. and messed around with my sx-70, taking shots of photos taken with other cameras to see what would happen.

Went to Bognor (well, someone has to). For those unfamiliar with Bognor, as you can see, it's a 'popular' English seaside resort.

And dev'ed a film from the week before taken at a local ploughing match.

I sure know how to have a good time...

ploughing match...

I wish I could think of a joke here.

I quite like the second ploughing pic.

Love the series this week!   :) :)
The ploughing is my fav. of the lot.
Especially the second one.  Love it.
I walked along the Rio Grande for some foliage pix, and will have them dev'd tomorrow.

I miss-loaded a 4 x 5 film holder and wrecked one of my shots, --probably wasted a master piece.
 ;D

Another (bad) ploughing pic and an example of why you should watch the background (how did he get that electric pole down his exhaust?)

He was certainly in the final, but I missed it the omnibus on Sunday so I don't know either.  Peter - please clarify ASAP  :)

I didn't stay 'til the end, the excitement was just too much. But the local paper reports Bert did indeed win (was there any doubt) and at the presentation he apparantly claimed he prowess with the plough was down to eating Freda's cakes. "My Freda bakes the finest cakes in Borsetshire" he's quoted as saying.

Lovely job Bert. That Jimmy Prentice was never up to much in the wet.

BTW; is anyone going to photograph Lynda's pantomime?

Great images as always, especially like the tractor image , so natural. Like the wedding images also so surreal.
Here's the  tree last Friday lunchtime with the Holga, developed it on Saturday and  printed it on Sunday.  Printed  it normally on Ilford warmtone then bleached back and redeveloped in Lith and then toned in selenium.  I printed the Tulip using the same process. Quite pleased with the tulip result.

I like the polaroids this week :)
I had a rather crummy weekend, my sister is having health problems which I got wind of the same morning I had to make an appointment at the vets to have my hamster put to sleep. I'm over the hamster thing already (he had been sick for months so I'm glad he's finally at rest), more worried about my sister now but I have to just wait and see now.
Needless to say I spent the weekend moping and playing computer games than taking pictures.

It's summat to do with people playing with bows and arrows apparently. I had to Google Bert Fry to find out.

Try this.

I sort of knew, but didnt want to actually dirty this site by naming it.  Peach Schnapps right?  How awful.  :)

BTW - peter, that shot of all the tractors on their horizontal lines ss very good.  I never thought I'd say that about a shot from a Delving Race, but there you go.
