Polaroid EE100 : Need help
« on: September 26, 2008, 05:09:52 AM »
Found an old EE100 and need some help. I loaded new batteries and when I press the shutter button, it clicks but the shutter doesn't seem to open. Anything else I need to check?

Thanks

Are the contacts oxidized?
Are the batteries good?
Is the light/dark button in the center...

Contacts seems okay, batteries are new and the dark/light thingie is in the middle. Just normal AA batteries will do, right? Thanks.

Yup, and they last for years. So, if you've installed new batts (making sure they are in the correct way of course) and cannot see the light when you open the back and look through the camera, while tripping the shutter, chances are your machine is dead.

As this is about all that ever goes wrong with hardcases, then this is a possible.

I often made the mistake of having the batteries in the wrong way when using these cameras. After a few wasted peel-aparts I usually check and make sure the shutter is behaving normally before loading my pack film in now...
