sorry for the long link. polaroid infrared overhead projector film. any idea if something cool could be done with it, or is is just junk?

Got an infared copier laying around? You could perhaps try contact printing in the sun? But the exposure time is likely to be really short?

is it something that we could kinda make cyanotypes out of? would it work like that?

Do you have to handle it in the dark? probably... Maybe cut it and load it into 4x5 holders...

i dunno anything about it. i doubt it's a dark thing, since you load it into a copier. it's thermal. though i read one cryptic comment on the web about putting watercolor paper behind it but that was all there was so i don't know what that means.

A quick search reveals that they also make 564 format which gives a black image on a clear film, as opposed to 584's blue image. You could always use them for contact printing if you have an infra red light source (the sun?)...assuming the dev + fix process is instant rather than something which happens inside the copy machine.

Really though, I have no bloody clue. I'm just typing for the sake of it.
