I got this baby in the mail today...

It is a Kodak Aero Ektar 7" 178mm f2.5 lens for 5x5. All I need is a Speed Graphic, oh I cant wait!

ok its been a while...

but I have managed to scrape together all my spare change and get this camera rolling!

Here is a shot with the Aero Ektar mounted on the Speed Graphic. And the first test shot, of me, Polaroid type 72.

I love the look you got in that image.

I'm wondering how much of the look is in the Polaroid film, and how much is in the lens. Will you still be able to get that look when all the Polaroid is gone?

Yeah, you know the polaroid brings allot to the table as far as the wet look goes.
I think the lens and the extreme DOF will pull its weight for me and give me a little 8x10 feel

Pretty lens. It looks like a comedy lens on the speedgraphic! That first picture has no sense of scale so I didn't expect it was as big as that.  I want one but the one i saw on US ebay was going for over $200
