Topic: Polaroid - long exposures (HELP)

Hello world,

I'm trying to find a cable release for my Polaroid Land Camera, and they [191] appear to be about as common as rocking horse stuff.

Has anyone any experience of making a normal cable release fit?

Anyone managed shake-free long exposures any other way?

Anyone got a 191 cable release gathering dust - I understand they make great wedding presents!? 

Without a cable release I am destined to just stand around on street corners waving my 320 around making light-streak images, which whilst fun is both restrictive and alarming for passers-by!

i usually use a tripod of table or something and hold the shutter mech down. this was around 30 seconds with my 195. trying to stand still almost never works.

a tripod is the way to go, then tape that button down and you will be set.

Agreed. I've done a few exposures of up to 10-20 secs long with my Land Cameras mounted on a tripod and held down with a slightly shaky finger.

Found a none Polaroid cable release (made by Prontor) on US eBay, and got it for a mere six dollars.

Found it on the doorstep on our return home from honeymoon.

Plenty of blurred Polaroids ahoy!

Will post some of the better efforts (if any).
