Polaroid T55

Is there film and developer combo that can closely mimic T55 Film?  I was thinking Ilford Pan F 50 and Pyro, although Pan F is not available in 4x5.

Any suggestion as to what I could experiment with?

I am a big fan of Efke 50, I shoot the medium format roll film version and really like it quite a bit. It is orthochromatc so it has little to no sensitivity to red light so you get interesting tonalities and classic looks. I shoot it without a filter usually and find that it is not as contrasty as Pan-F (which I also love) but if you use a yellow filter it gets much more contrasty

2polar - I'm not at all familiar with polaroid films - if you describe the characteristics, I'll have a think about similars

Well- I'm not sure what he's looking for in them, but two of the really great characteristics IMO are the extremely fine grain and the incredible tonal range. Not overly contrasty, but nice and full. Maybe someone else wants to add to that?

It's a bit difficult for me to describe without being overly subjective.

I 'll just have to experiment and share my results.
