my first post .....

my trip to Taiwan in Oct2007, for about 6 days

That 101 building view gets me every time... and I will have to visit Shihfen when next in Taiwan (this one shows a great place):

For tourists, seems Choufen is more popular
but I do not enjoy there, too commercial, too busy even on weekdays

Seems Shihfen much more relaxing, not over developed as tourist area

If I go to Taiwan next time, hope to spend more time on travel on railway to explore more

some really interesting shots here. i'm trying to remember if i've been to shifen before or not. i know i've been to chiufen and like you wasn't very impressed by it. next time you should go south.  i think southern taiwan is even more interesting, but then after moving south(tainan) i find i don't really care for the north like i did before. of course  i still love the abandoned housing resort in san zhi. :)
