Filmwasters Podcast #4 now online
« on: January 31, 2008, 02:01:27 AM »
Team, I've managed to get podcast #4 in just before January grinds to a halt. Hope you like it.

Episode 4: "Three is the Magic Number" - January 2008
Renowned LA-based photographer, Aline Smithson, joined regulars Ed and Susan for the first podcast of 2008. Susan and Aline were fresh from the excitement of Photo LA and Review LA, so there's a lot of talk about that. The discussion topic for this episode was, "What's The Most Difficult Thing We Face As Photographers", so we kicked that around a bit too.

As usual, please spread the word via your own blogs, Flickr, APUG, toycamera.com etc. etc.

Oddly, I sound like a lisping tweety bird due to the poor connection.

But... BRAVO Ed. :)
Another informative and enjoyable podcast.

Thanks to Aline for stepping in and for all of her great insights.

And a thousand thanks to Ed and his continued dedication to produce these top notch efforts
Thanks ED!  :-*

I'd like to hear his views on the trade deficit first.

Hugo doesn't look all that presidential to me; he seems like more of a militant dictator who rules with a plastic fist.

good show btw!

Hey,
leave my poor little man alone!  I think he's more Vice President material...being leg-challenged is a problem, though FDR seemed to make it work...

I seem to remember an Onion "Why Does Our Joyless President Never Dance?" editorial though...

Can Hugo spell "potato"? That's the veep gold standard test, I believe.

I loved the podcast ... and Hugo, I used to have one! I got it from my aunt and uncle for my 7th or 8th birthday.  I think the idea was that he's a spy and you used disguises to help him to go incognito.

There were stitched up eyelids, wire rimmed glasses and weird wigs that come with him - and a pot of very nice smelling glue to stick the masks on.  I remember the smell of the glue particularly.  My Uncle used to work for Texas Instruments in Dallas so it's very possible he brought it home with him and it wasnt available over here.  fond memories!

"... I remember the smell of the glue particularly."  There is so much explained in those very few words, Leon.  Great job with the podcast gentle ones.  It really is a groovy way to while away an hour.  I very much enjoyed the recommendations this time also.
My chopstick is really a love poem.
