It's been crap weather since December, so here's an oldie I dug up.

Zero 2000 back to nature pinhole with my usual  Arista dunked in caffenol.

Pretty much the same here.
This afternoon was the first time I took the camera out in ages. And I used some color film that expired ages ago, so wish me luck with this one.
Tonight we'll see how well Konica film that expired 20 years ago fares. I just hope it ages like wine and not like milk!

Wow, nice one Becky! I have a cedar tree with an identity crisis, it thinks it's a cactus.  I took this walking my dog around town on a rare nice day.  Polaroid Pathfinder Land Camera 110A with T-Max 100, 4X5, Expired 8/1997.  Developed in Rodinal 1:50.

I have a cedar tree with an identity crisis, it thinks it's a cactus.
Just imagine if it was a spruce tree! Now that would be some cactus worthy material.

I have some results from yesterday's 20 year old film!
Now that was quite an experience...
When I did the first water bath, I did notice a bit of color in the rinse water. I thought that the blueish liquid was just the AH layer.
Then I did the developer, but this time it strangely had a blueish tone... not a common color for used developer I thought for myself.
The rest of the process went just fine.
When I took the film off the reel, I proceeded to a bit of an inspection.
Good news, the fog is not really visible. Frames are a bit on the dense side but good overall. Contrast is not over the top. That C-41 kit I mixed last July is still going strong.
Now, one thing caught my eye... there are some strong color shifts. I see a lot of magenta. I see a lot of cyan. But no yellow  :o
The scanner had a heck of a time getting the color balance correctly and I had to do the rest by hand.
Here are a couple from that roll.

When I think that people 18.90$ for a single roll of Lomochrome Turquoise, I did something similar for about 1$. Now that's a win in a sense.
So, the film stock was some Konica SXG 100 that expired in 2003 and was re-branded as Life brand Bright Light 100 for a local drugstore and exposed at EI 25 in 2023.

Winter on the stream, just because I pass it walking the dog.

Becky, that's really a wowser!
Yes, the weather has kept me indoors too for a couple of weeks now, but the forecast for next week is very promising. Not very hot though, +5C.
