Weekend December 3rd - 5th 2021
« on: December 04, 2021, 01:10:24 PM »
It's December and the first snow has fallen here, not more than 10cm though. But before that I shot a test roll with the "new" Kyoei Super-Acall 105mm.

Canon P / Kyoei Super-Acall 3.5/105mm / Kodak T-Max 400 in HC110

I don't normally mention equipment used for a shot, but the Nikkor 85/2 I used here deserves it. It is just a glorious lens.

Any man who can see what he wants to get on film will usually find some way to get it;
and a man who thinks his equipment is going to see for him is not going to get much of anything.

Nice! That lens has been on my short list for a long time. This shot is GAS inducing for sure!

Mine is in Leica screwmount, but I think the glass is the same no matter what the mount. It's gigantic and heavy on a Barnack, but I normally use it on a Canon L1 with the Canon parallax-adjusting viewfinder, which is a little more balanced.

Hi!

It's a wonderful lens :) Congrats !

I think that I haven't mention that I'm the happy owner of a Kodak Panoram nº1 in very good shape!
I shot this photo in spring. The landscape is very common in the center of Spain: fields of cereal and smoothed small hills

That's a great shot and an interesting camera.  I looked it up and it says it takes 105 film, did you have to do anything to adapt it to use 120 film?

Since I got home I've been trying to spend some time making prints in my darkroom.  I'm trying to work out some bugs in my process, this is what I got so far.

Somehow this would not be out of place in an old Sandy Frank movie ;)

And yes, there s a joke in that sentence...

Lots of great photos again this weekend!
That Kodak Panoram camera looks great! Except for a pinhole, I managed to withstand the tempation of getting a panoramic film camera so far, but you are not making it easier.  ;)

I am breaking with the black and white theme for some Kodak Ektar taken earlier in autumn.

Hi!
It's a very interesting camera ;-) The n4 it's even more interesting. Josef Sudek made AMAZING  photos of Prague with that camera ... 30x7 negative!!!
I haven't done anything to load 120 film. Loading the film is very easy. Much easier than loading my Malefic 6x17.
Jeje, your bugs are at bay ...

Manuell, I really love this shot! Don't give up on the B&W though, you've posted a lot of nice shots lately.  :)

There's lots of wonderful images here again! It's good to see a camera I've not seen before too - loving those panoramas!

I used my Solida I over the weekend, whilst the Christmas Market was in town, with two film I've not used before.

The first is from an expired (2003) Efke 50, that I accidentally exposed as 100, losing lots of detail in the light by the look of it...no information on the MDC for development at 100iso, so I used the PanF+ as a guide (1:25 Paranol S, 12 mins) maybe Efke 50 doesn't push so well, or can't handle the dynamic range so well, and the film is super curly. I'll definitely try this again at 50iso.

The second is from a fresh roll of Tri-X 400...I don't know now why I've not used it before, but I like it and will try more.
