Very enlightening. And quite complex. We often comment on how film cameras are much simpler than digital and that can be true. The reality of course is that the flexible strip of 36 one use color sensors is enormously complex both in manufacturing and processing. So that, with film, the complexity is in the background so to speak. Whereas with our digital marvel’s (which most of us ‘filmwasters’ own....but don’t talk about) contain so much of the capability in the box in our hand.
Optical printing of negatives has disappeared, but I guess that happened even before digital came to dominate the market.
Gratifying to see young folks with so much passion for the medium.
