bad clown
« on: December 10, 2007, 09:48:03 AM »
This time, instead of whinging endlessly about polaroid availability I can show you a transfer I just finished tonight.

Like a bunch of others I have done, it is destined for a wine label, so the emphasis had to be on strong colors and shapes that would work well at a small size.

Also I like to use rough paper that leaves lots texture and gaps where the image doesn't transfer, so I lose even more detail that way.
Arches cold pressed 300 gsm paper, Type 59 film, 'wet' transfer. I had only four sheets of film remaining and transfers are seldom predictable, but jagged this with my last pull.

Damn! Do they have any idea how cool their wine will look, or at least the bottle? I suppose they do. The texture is glorious.

I cannot tell a Bordeaux from a claret. But I like the label. Ha ha. Skj.

it's wicked Don - and will look superb on the label.  Hats off to you for not taking the easy PS route with this too.  Keeping it real as always.

The colours are so strong in the transfer, great job. Great idea for a wine bottle.

If only I did look so cherubic.  ;) He's actually their chief winemaker- and he was a good sport with this!
